DISTRICT MEETING, MILAGROS OR "WHAT?!?" "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?" GALLO POOP, AFTERMATH, NICE TAN LINE, MAZE RUNNER ,SISTER MISSIONARIES' AREA

DISTRICT MEETING

Zone Leaders and us after
District Meeting.

MILAGROS OR "WHAT?!?"
We are doing pretty well. We had one of those hard weeks were everyone rejects you but i'ts all good.  We had some milagros (miracles), too. And found some positive, new investigators. The family, we have been teaching, went to church and they announced the marriage and baptism and invited everyone and I was just like, "What?!?"  Ha ha, cuz we didn't know they would announce it during sacrament meeting, ha. They are having some sicknesses and stuff which I think is Satan trying to down them because they have been progressing so much.  But I know it will all be good and they will be married and baptized.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?
So, I got pooped .on by a gallo (rooster)!  Ha!  It was pretty cool.  We were teaching a lesson and the hermana me dijo sobre de un gallo en el arbol (the sister told me about the rooster in the tree) and we were teaching while she was cocinando (cooking) and, so, we were like choking, literally, and the smoke from the fire and stuff kept falling on me from the tree the gallo (rooster) was in and then I felt something and was like, "Are you kidding me?"  Ha!  It had pooped on me! I just turned around and kept teaching and despuez (after) told Elder Montero and he was like, "What?!?" and then started laughing, ha ha. It's all good though. It was a really positive lesson and new investigator.

AFTERMATH
Aftermath.
NICE TAN LINE

The difference between serving the CCM and serving in the field. Ha ha.

MAZE RUNNER
This wall made me think of the movie Maze Runner.
This is one of the nicer parts of the "city" we are in.  W
e don't really work too much here. We are mas abajo (below) in the mountainous part with dirt roads.

SISTER MISSIONARIES' AREA

WORK---FIND---WORK, AWESOME TO SEE HOW THEY ARE CHANGING, A BLACK EYE AND A "23" TATOO ON HIS FACE, "WE SUFFER MANY THINGS IN THE MISSION", ENJOYING GENERAL CONFERENCE TALKS

WORK---FIND---WORK
The work is progressing. We are finding more people. We are working hard.

AWESOME TO SEE HOW THEY ARE CHANGING
We have a couple that are committed to a fecha (date) the 1st of February for casarse (get married) and bautismo (baptism). Thanks to the help of our obispo (bishop).  They are a milagro (miracle) proque (that) more then 1 year they have taken lessons from missionaries and for some reason they are now making a lot of progress, so that's awesome to see how they are changing.

A BLACK EYE AND A "23" TATTOO ON HIS FACE
I also was on a bus contacting and talked to a white guy from Atlanta, Georgia.  He had a black eye and a "23" tattoo on his face and dressed kind of gangster-ish.  We had a good conversation. I asked if we could share a lesson another day and but he didn't have a phone and the directions he gave weren't too much of a help. I had this huge feeling that he needed help and this gospel was one of the things he needed. Before he left he said to keep him in my prayers so, yeah. We will see if we see him again or maybe other missionaries will find him, hopefully.

"WE SUFFER MANY THINGS IN THE MISSION"
We are working hard bodies, giving out at points, but "we suffer many things in the mission...",  President Markham.

ENJOYING GENERAL CONFERENCE TALKS
I'm trying to read all the general conference talks from October and I'm enjoying them, haha.  But they really are good and strengthen my testimony.

STILL WITH ELDER MONTERO, CONCRETE WEIGHTS, DEEP FRIED OREOS, DIVISIONS

January 6, 2016

STILL WITH ELDER MONTERO
This week we had año nuevoe (new Year).  They set off a bunch of fireworks again. Everywhere literally. We ate some food and worked, ha. We had changes this week.  Elder Montero was supposed to leave but the night before President Markham changed everything so I'm still with Elder Montero. We are already seeing milagros (miracles) so we know that we are supposed to be together in this area. We are finding more people now and a family too. That's really positive. We also have our investigadores (investigators) progressing so that's awesome. They are seeing the blessing that this gospel is and they are changing for the better. Even their appearance is kind of just different.

CONCRETE WEIGHTS
We are making concrete weights cuz we want to get swoll so I'll send pics next week. We are also buying more food that we can eat to bulk.  We went to Walmart and that was really weird.  I was kind of in shock on how nice it was, ha, crazy.  Only found protein with creatine and stuff so we didn't get it.

DEEP FRIED OREOS
We had divisions.  I was with Elder Fulmer and we had a great time. I tried making deep fried Oreos en la noche but it kind of was weird.  We had leftover pancake mix so I poured the rest of the stuff we had already mixed in to the pot and and Elder Fulmer put in m&m's so we ended up having like a deep fried cookies and cream Oreo and m&m's cake, ha ha. Really good actually.

DIVISIONS
We have divisions again today so that will be fun. But we are in the same area, me and Elder Montero, with the zone lideres so that's a new thing we are doing so we'll see how it goes. Sorry I left my camera at home so can't send any pictures.

SO MUCH FOOD, WHAT THE???, CHANGES, PEANUT BUTTER

December 29, 2015

SO MUCH FOOD
So this week was pretty good.  I got sick cuz we ate so much food but it was tight, ha.  Elder Montero's and my   stomach was like sticking out like crazy and I could barely stand.  It was duro (hard) ha ha.  We got some stuff from Presidente y Hermana Markham so that was cool.  I also got some other stuff. I will send pics, ha.  But, yeah, so that was pretty fun.

WHAT THE???
We also were walking to the iglesia (church) and these 2 drunk guys were all like ELDERES YA and stuff and one of them wanted a hug so Elder Montero gave him a hug and he wanted one from me, too.  So I gave him a "Sweat" hug, ha ha.  JK.   I gave him a hug and then he kissed me on my neck!  I was like, "What the??? " It's a funny thing to think about now though, so, yeah, ha.

CHANGES
This is our last week (together) then we have changes so I'm anxious to see what happens.

PEANUT BUTTER
Bought our 1st peanut butter.  It seems ok to me. Nothing much else just working hard.  Yeeeeee

Love,

Elder Sweat
