BAPTISM, RAIN, CLASSIC

Baptism of Marvin...awesome dude.
BAPTISM
This week was pretty good.  We baptized Marvin last week and he will be confirmed this week. Super excited for him and his future.  We are working hard to find more people that want to be baptized.

Before the baptism, it started to rain super hard. We got soaked.

APRIL 19, 2016---MARVIN, INTERVIEWS, AMERICANS, I LOVE GUATEMALA! CHORES AT HOME

APRIL 19, 2016

MARVIN
It is going great.  Marvin will be baptized this Saturday.  He has a lot of potential.  He is always trying to invite friends to listen when we teach him.  He's awesome.

INTERVIEWS
Super pumped because we had interviews with President Markham.  The interview was super great. I received revelation and felt the spirit.

AMERICANS
We went to Antigua last week.  It was pretty cool because there were quite a few Americans there.  I am starting to love this country.

I LOVE GUATEMALA!
Short story:  We were walking down one of the streets contacting and this little bus slows down for these huge speed bumps that are everywhere and then the driver leans out of the window and starts singing, "Ye Elders of Israel," and I'm just like, what the heck!  Ha ha ha!  It was so funny because he was just belting it out!  Ha ha. I love Guatemala!

CHORES AT HOME
Elder Murray and I had house inspections and I just found out today that our house was one of the top 5 cleanest houses in the mission!  Pretty dope!  Definitely didn't learn anything from all those chores I did at home!   Ha ha ha!  JK!!!  I love my family!!!

I loved the quote that my Dad sent to me this week.  It's posted below:

"Wherever you go, your priesthood goes with you. Are you standing in holy places? Before you put yourself and your priesthood in jeopardy by venturing into places or participating in activities which are not worthy of you or of that priesthood, pause to consider the consequences. Remember who you are and what God expects you to become. You are a child of promise. You are a man of might. You are a son of God." - President Thomas S. Monson

WATCHING CONFERENCE, MIRACLE THIS WEEK, GOT AWAY WITHOUT BEING HUGGED---PHEW, PHOTOS

WATCHING CONFERENCE
Elder Brown and I watching conference. Shout out to the CCM District Lucas!
MIRACLE THIS WEEK
This week we had a miracle. We were walking down a street and this teenager contacted us and started kind of asking how to become a Mormon and stuff. We thought at first he was just trying to be funny or something but he was serious and we taught him a lesson. He is super positive and wants to be baptized.  We plan on baptizing him the 24th.

GOT AWAY WITHOUT BEING HUGGED---PHEW
Funny story-we were walking in the night and one of our old investigators was there in the street drunk with her kids. I told her, "Hi," and she kind of swore at me and then tried like hugging me and I kept avoiding it and telling her, "Hermana, you need to go home and sleep and drink some water."  She ends up hugging the joven that is with us, super tight, and he finally gets out and she comes for me and luckily I'm a little fast.  So we dipped out, cuz we didn't want to have any problems. Got away without being hugged, phew, ha.

We also went to Antigua, for our Zone P-day, which is pretty cool, and talked to a guy from Canada.  That was pretty dope.

PIZZA AND PINEAPPLE JUICE, GENERAL CONFERENCE AND ANSWERS TO MY QUESTIONS, MY DESK, REALLY SMALL HAMBURGERS, ELDER BROWN, #BLESSED

PIZZA AND PINEAPPLE JUICE
Part of the Zone. We ate pizza and rich pineapple juice.  Notice Croc game is strong✊.

GENERAL CONFERENCE AND ANSWERS TO MY QUESTIONS
We watched conference in a room in the church me and like 3 other missionaries in English.1st time I ever took notes for all the sessions and every talk. One cool thing is that Pres Markham always tells us to bring 3 or more questions to reuniones, basically any meeting, and promises us that we will get them answered. So I did that and got answers to my questions. Super cool how the spirit works.

MY DESK
The work and my desk.

REALLY SMALL HAMBURGERS
The meat on hamburgers here is really small, ha ha, except for like McDonalds and stuff.  They are way good, ha ha, but don't really eat that, ha.

ELDER BROWN
What is super dope is that Elder Brown is in my Zone.  He was a fellow companion in CCM.  What is great is that Elder Brown is in my area.  We left the CCM the same time.

#BLESSED
Thanks for your prayers. Elder Guzman also says thank you. He also bore his testimony in his last zone conference ever, ha.  Pretty great. I'm so grateful that he is a focused, hard working missionary, even though he goes home this change.  #blessed.

BAPTISM ON SATURDAY
We baptized one of the investigators on Saturday. It was a very great experience but also very memorable. 1st conversion!!!!  She is awesome.

I WANT TO BE THE BEST MISSIONARY I CAN BE
Yeah, I almost have 6 months already, ha ha, weird. I want to the best missionary I can be.

ELDER GUZMAN FROM NICARAGUA
We had changes this week and surprisingly I am still in my 1st area. We thought Elder Murray was going to die here but he is now going to be a counselor in a branch, ha. My new companion is awesome.  He is from Nicaragua and called Elder Guzman. I'm learning a lot form him and know that he will help me to be a great missionary.
