PRAY
Yes we do we have a couple of super awesome families we are teaching.  If you guys could pray for them that they can open their hearts to the gospel that would be awesome.

NUMBERS
It feels great to see the zone baptizing and to know their converts by name and be buddies with them and stuff.  That's one thing we like is that we know all of the new converts fairly well that are getting baptized so they feel more like people, not numbers, right?   "Numbers don't go to the temple, people do."  

CHANGES
We have changes this next week so I will write you on Wednesday, mas probable (most likely).

May 9, 2017---NO FEAR, FOLLOW THE SPIRIT, SEE YOU ON SUNDAY

NO FEAR
This week was super great. We are starting to find a bunch of miracles by following something that Elder Rasband talked about. He talked about following your first impression. We are also talking to a lot more people. Que dice Pres Markham... "no hay miedo en este mision!" haha. (President Markham says, "There is no fear in this mission!")

FOLLOW THE SPIRIT
We had a great experience this week.  We were walking but then both of us stopped at the same little street and I was like dude I feel like we should go in there and Elder Brown said the same thing. So we went in and contacted the 1st people in the street and we set up a cita (appointment) to pass by her house. We went yesterday in the night cuz we felt like we should and we had a great lesson. Got to open your mouth and be diligent and follow the spirit siempre!!!(always)

100%
It's great here.  We are looking for more people right now and are starting to find some cool people that are pretty close to the church so that's a plus, ha. Something super awesome is that 82% of the missionaries in the mission baptized so there is a lot of work going on.  The goal is to have 100% of the missionaries baptize new converts so we are trying to find the ways how we can do that.  We are learning to put our trust in God by continuing to work diligently and being smart about it, too.  We are following the impressions of the Spirit.

A LITTLE DUO
P.S.  Fun experience:  So here in our mission we contact people on the buses we get on. We usually will get in front and yell to everybody presenting ourselves and contact the people on the bus one by one to see when we can pass by.  But my companion, Elder Brown, had a great idea.  We decided to sing a hymn on the bus in front of everyone!  Hahaha!  Our hearts were pounding but we got in the middle after presenting ourselves and we started to sing El Alba Ya Rompe (The Day Dawn is Breaking), haha.  Pretty cool and nerve wracking but we were super pumped after we did it, haha.  A little duo.  

I LOVE THE MISSION
The mission is great and I'm glad I'm here learning so many things. Amo la mision. Amo el Salvador porque el me da la fuerza a seguir adelante y seguir trabajando a encontrar mas almas a traer a el.  (I love the mission. I love Salvador because it gives me the strength to go ahead and keep working to find more souls to bring him.)

Aw they baptism was awesome. The whole family came for the baptism of Hermanita Amanda.  It was a great service and there was a lot of people there so we really enjoyed it.  It was also awesome cuz Elder Brown and I were able to baptize together, haha.  We were so pumped and are going to keep working and looking for more people to help.

BOOK-SMARTS

I feel like some people maybe know more then I do in the scriptures but I feel like it's not all book-smarts, the gospel that is.  We have to have a testimony or what is the point and we have to understand what the scriptures say cuz lots of times the scriptures are misinterpreted, but that's why we got to ask God. 

FROSTED FLAKES

Frosted Flakes, they'reeeeee grrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaattttt for champions, hahaha JK. 

ADVENTURE

We have been running all over the place trying to help the Zone out so that's always an adventure, haha. I'm learning lots of stuff everyday. Love you all.

April 16, 2017---GYM BUDDY, HOLY WEEK, "YES! WE STILL BELIEVE"

GYM BUDDY
It's (Villa Nueva) a lot different then Patzicia. There is almost no typico (typical) clothing like corte (cut) here so I'm trying to get used to that, haha.  Being companions with Elder Brown is great.  We always keep ourselves pumped and stuff and that's great.  And I now have a gym buddy.

We have a sister that is going to get baptized this week.

HOLY WEEK
Well I totally forgot it was Easter.  They do Semana Santa (Holy Week) here but I didn't even think about Easter, haha.  I guess I was lost in the work, hahaha, JK, JK.

"YES!  WE STILL BELIEVE"
Something that happened was that we had a sister that we taught once that the next time we came she had like a talk prepared for us to try and disprove everything we taught and believed.  It was funny and comforting when she asked us at the and if we still believed and without stuttering Elder Brown and I both said, "Yes."  Her face was like, IDK, a look of surprise and awe cuz she wanted to convince us with a bunch of scriptures and stuff.  But when she was talking I just held onto my feelings and experiences I've had through the gospel.  I'm very grateful for these experiences and for the gospel. We have to keep a strong testimony and strengthen it always.

NEW COMPANION---ELDER BROWN
Yeah, this week was pretty good.  I'm super excited cuz I'm now companions with Elder Brown.  He was the 1st person I talked to in the airport on the way to Guatemala.  It's a blast and we have a bunch of goals and stuff and are going to work hard to find miracles.

NEW AREA---VILLA NUEVA
So I'm now in Villa Nueva somewhat close to my 1st area but a different zone. I 'm in the capital.   I'm now in a place that is pretty warm so that is a nice change but now I'm sick because of the change of climate, haha, a little bit of a cold but it's a blessing.

He (our investigator we have been teaching) is doing well and still doesn't feel ready to get baptized, but poco poco. 

A BETTER HOMBRE
Well one thing that I'm really learning is the atonement to apply it more in my life. It's easy to get down on yourself when there is not a lot of progress in the moment but it's like you said, "builds character."  I'm really learning about things that I need to change to be a better missionary and hombre (man). 

TIME IS RUNNING
The conference was great and I learned a lot, got answers to my questions, and received lots of revelation. General Conference always passes by faster and faster and time just goes running.
